Bang Gang's release Vanity Kills is a from-the-vault compilation of songs that were originally recorded as demo's for a second album that would never come.
In 1991 the band were surrounded by hype for being the next big glam rock outfit out of LA and had a debut album called Love Sells, selling well.
Grunge hit, the scene imploded and Bang Gang were lost forever...almost.
This collection of 10 songs sees the band continue their role as hot shot LA glamsters, except time has somewhat rolled on.
The songs do sound a little dated now and are not quite full studio release quality. But as a fan of the band or of the scene in general, there is no reason that you wouldn't choose to ignore those minor details!
BOTTOM LINE: Glamming it up all the way! Another archive release, but a good one that spotlights a rather excellent era in the pages of rock history. Mind you, this is for glam rock fans only.
