This is a great album for different reasons than your usual hard rock record. David Isaacs has recorded a very classy and engaging record that will instantly appeal to those into the singer / songwriter field. The 13 songs contained on David's album are intelligent, soul searching and lyrically probing personal songs that really speak to the listener. The sound of the album is a rich melodic tapestry of acoustic and electric driven pop rock songs, with never over bearing vocals in the style of Danny Wilde at his Rembrandts best. Another big comparison this album draws is that of Riverdogs vocalist Rob Lamothe in his more reflective solo style. For anyone who loves Rob's albums like I Am Here Now, Gravity or Being Human or the last couple of Rembrandts albums will easily dig this album. In fact, with due respect, it gives them all a run for their money. David's songs contain several subtle melodies that reveal themselves after repeated listening. | |||
Modern rock fans could also take plenty away from the album, with several of the more uptempo songs playing to their tastes.
