First up, this is a collection of demo's (clearly stated in the album's liner notes) and a few new tracks finished off, of a project that never got off the ground featuring Al Greenwood (Foreigner), Chuck Bonafante (Saraya), Jon Gorman (Vocals), Bob Held and Tony Bruno (Danger Danger).
Other guest musicians include Paul Stanley, Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick (all of Kiss) and Andy Timmons (Danger Danger).
So the pedigree of the project is not in question and the songs are strong enough.
The style is very much late 80's New York melodic hard rock.
Keyboards are frequent as a backing tool and the vocals big like any good Keel, Y&T or Steelheart record.
If that is up your alley, I suggest you checking this out.
There is a couple of draw backs of course! The songs, while strong enough are nothing that amazed me - fairly standard fare of the times and the production is of course a little lacking.
The album maybe have faired a little better normally, but comparing it to new MTM releases like Unruly Child and Fiore - this just comes up short.
Best tracks include the opener and the big power ballad This Could Be The Night.
Give You My Loving also is also good. Some nice big bombastic hard rocking.
So, not bad, but overall not an essential release.
