Gilby's back...the former Guns N Roses & Snakepit guitarist, the record producer and the LA rock scene heavyweight is back with solo album number 4. Gilby could almost play this stuff in his sleep. This album is attitude filled, blues based hard rock, with equal touches of sleaze/glam rock, and some more 70's inspired retro-rock. Helping out on the album is guitarist buddy Tracii Guns, plus a range of guests including Teddy Andreadis, Eric Singer, Brian Tichy, Kyle Vincent, Brent Fitz and the great Tim Karr. Quite an impressive line up I am sure you will agree. But what's important is the music. Thankfully there are no complaints there either. This is a strong and consistent album of blues based rock songs that range from slow bar room ballads to more uptempo, almost punkish harmonica drenched romps. | |||
