Heaven's Fire are a little harder to pigeonhole than many other artists. That probably is a good thing, but it also makes my job of describing them to you a little harder. To be honest, this album doesn't do it for me a whole heap. It's a little progressive, with touches of Rush and Dream Theater (no, nothing wrong with that at all) and a little American underground 80's hard rock. There's a few bands I can think of that have done similar things, but none of them have really broken through a selection of die hard fans. I think Heaven's Fire will have to build a selection of stronger material to do that. The high pitch vocals of Andy Narsingh are of good quality, but are also an acquired taste. | |||
In fact the problem could lie with the production and mix, which I think are a little weak. The vocals are sometimes lost amongst the changing tempo of the music.
