It's more like band out of time for Tandym, who play a brand of catchy pop inspired 80's AOR. But if that is your cup of tea then Tandym might slot into your collection quite nicely. They perform the songs with a degree of passion and definite conviction, but it does suffer from a lack of production and occasionally song quality. The album is demo-ish in places, but gains respect in the quality of the songs. Can't Blame The World great - a real good hook and a song that might be worth re-recording when a suitable budget is obtained. Don't Walk Away is also pretty solid. Jerico sounds a little like Ken Tamplin, but the keyboards and production let the track down a little. other highlights are Love Walked Away, which is a cool big ballad and the other ballad, the keyboard/vocal All In You. All in all, a promising debut, but one that could use a better production ballad and an album that in reality is quite dated in it's sound. But like I said, if 80's pop AOR is your thing, then investigate Tandym, you might find something you like. Tandym Homepage | ||
