The first question that has to be asked and got out of the way, is why after 3 years do we get only 5 new tracks? I will ask David!
But as it is only 5 new tracks on hand, we should just enjoy what we have.
And let me say that I think the new sound and new heavier direction is most fitting for the band and these tracks sound great!
Stay is a really heavy groove rocker, with a modern production and some effects that should endear it to radio programmers from all rock fields.
Beautiful And Useless continues the heavier and darker approach, although it's a little less in your face than Stay, yet also a little less melodic.
Alive continues the sonic onslaught. It's another aggressive modern rock track that takes several listens to get to know, as it doesn't have the instant hook Stay does.
You has a good hook and is a little more commercial, but keeps the sound of this EP in tact.
BOTTOM LINE: David Victor sounds man much improved on vocals, while the whole quality of this EP is 2 steps up from their debut album. Just a shame it isn't more!
Some may not like the more modern and aggressive sound, but i think the guys have done a good job of moving forward without totally losing their melodic roots.

ESSENTIAL FOR: Fans of the band and fans of more modern and heavy melodic rock.
