The guys of Artension quickly follow last years Sacred Pathway's with this new album, their 6th. And to be honest, there's not a lot of difference. A few points off for that.
Artension are actually an American melodic heavy rock act, with touches of progressive metal, neo-classical influences, operatic arrangements and symphonic keyboard melodies and swirls.
Vocalist John West is of course one of the great voices in this form of the metal genre and his performance here is up to his usual high standard.
There's only one instrumental featured here, which is for th best and one track is repeated with a radio edit version. So of al the tracks I can't pick any major weakness. It's too simple to say that if you liked the last album, this is more of the same and of the same quality.
One thing I could point out to be fair to the band is their continued knack of including a good hook where so many others just continue to play on, opting to include too many cleaver tempo changes instead.

Mark Boals, Ring Of Fire and Yngwie Malmsteen fans take note - here's a band for you to check out, if you haven't already.
Otherwise, fans will know what to expect and thankfully the band deliver.
