You can't go past the guitar riff of the opening track Let Me Let You Go. It certainly has a good hook and is one of the more instant AOR tracks around at the moment. While this track has a great guitar sound, most of the rest of the album is concentrated more on pop sounds.
Coastland Ride are a Swedish group, performing a mix of pure AOR / Westcoast, with some high-tech 80's pop elements.
Comparisons to contemporaries like Tim Feehan, Talk Of The Town and Sayit seem fair, although the guys have their own take on the genre, especially with the prominent vocals of singer Markus Nordenberg.
While Let Me Let You Go is very catchy, it's not alone on the album. The guys have a knack for some catchy pop/rock numbers.
You'll notice in the credits that two of the three guys are responsible for synth programming, so that should give you a fair indication of the sound.
However, if that's your musical style, then I would recommend this be investigated. It's very smooth, very catchy and rather happy go lucky.

The Bottom Line

The album's sound is a little varied, as it the production quality, but generally it's ok and most importantly, the song quality is there.
The very nature of the album's style will not appeal to everyone. This is very keyboard orientated, with an emphasis on high-tech pop sounds and that 80s's synth sound.
