Sugarcreek released their three albums between 1981 and 1984. The USA pomp rockers later changed their name to The Creek and released another two albums in the late 80's.
The two studio and one live album the band released as Sugarcreek are prime examples of early 80's US pomp, with a strong Euroepan sound and susequently gained a strong cult following.
This is the stuff of layered vocal harmonies, swirling keyboard textures, synthesizers and of course, plenty of flashy guitar solos.
Collectors and fans of this early style of TransAtlantic AOR have traded this material for ages, so it is delightful to have all three albums packaged into a neat Digi-Pack, with full remastered treatment also afforded.
I'm not a huge fan of Digi-packs, but this is a superb little package looks and sounds great.
Owners of the original LPs obviously know the band's sound, but for those that don't, if you enjoyed such other notable re-issues as Aviator or Frankie & The Knockouts - this is another worthy addition to your collections.

The Bottom Line
This is definitely a release aimed at the band's original fans, but if early 80's keyboard pomp has been known to turn your dial, then check this release out ASAP.
Credit to Escape Music for a great release and a tidy package.
