I saw this with the greatest respect - this album is about as sweet and nice as you could possibly get!
In the sometimes harsh world of hard music, this album is sugary sweet and generally very polite. It's soft acoustic tones and whispered vocals offer a nice change from the over the top productions and the storming choruses.
Of course, you will want to actually have this break from the norm to get into this.
I don't think that's going to be much of a problem as I got a stack of feedback - general enthusiasm - when I mentioned the upcoming release of this album and when I put some soundbytes online.
The guys obviously have an established fan base and all I can say is those people should love this.
This album is a mix of the lighter more acoustic side of Danny Wilde & The Rembrants and the more acoustic popsters out there.
The album was produced and engineered by the band's Michael Lennon and was mixed Thom Panunzio - a name I haven't seen for a good while.
The opening track is my favourite - it's a little more upbeat and generally just a very good pop song.
Always even has a bit of Tom Cochrane style harmonica thrown in for good measure.
The rest of the album is laid back pop/acoustic rock with the smallest hints of a country feel and other hints of pure pop.
A bit soft for some I think.
BOTTOM LINE: Great collection of acoustic driven pop/aor songs, but it will have to find it's appeal with fans of that set market to really hit it's mark.

ESSENTIAL FOR: Fans of acoutic driven aor, and soft pop rock fans.
